about.
Nasim Motamedi was born in Iran. Her initial interest in art was sparked by the
support and encouraging words of an art teacher while living in the UK. After the 1979
revolution in Iran, she returned to a changed country and pursued her passion for art at
Tehran Azad University, where she finished her Master’s degree. She became active in
holding individual and group exhibitions of her art while she was running her own studio.
In 1998, she immigrated to Canada and took a pause from her artwork as she worked to
settle in the new environment and start a family. Recently she has dedicated more time
to the pursuit of her original passion as she works to portray her new thoughts and
ideas onto the canvas. Currently she is living in West Vancouver with her husband and
two kids.
